...“We have enjoyed staying in Equatorial (club deluxe) for 3 nights and wished there were more. It was a real delight! The hotel is luxuriuos, very stylish and comfortable. We can't but mention how convenient club system is. The staff is very well trained, very attentive, polite, tactful, friendly, and - what is extremely important - they all speak English perfectly. Our special thanks to the charming ladies from 11th floor. On the whole the hotel is wonderful, we don't have a single blame towards it. The only disadvantage is its location but the staff can do nothing about it)”

“Stayed for 5 nights at the Equatorial in November 2008. The hotel was very busy...seemed to be full each night and people only staying one or two nights. The staff was very efficient but due to the the hotel being so busy service was not very personal. The location is not good and you have to use the shuttle bus or taxi to find a restaurant or tourist attraction. No shops or restaurants nearby...mainly motorbike repairs, picture framing an mobile phones. The pool area was good and after a hot day wandering about it was great to go for a swim. Tiles are very slippery!!!!! A great selection for the buffet breakfast but meals a little overpriced. If I return to Ho Chi Minh City I would prefer to be closer to district one.”

“This has to be one of the nicest hotels in Saigon, this was our third trip here and although we noticed a slight falling off in standards it is still excellent value for money. The staff are very welcoming and go the extra mile to be helpful. We did notice that there has been an increase in tour parties using the hotel but other than the problems of overcrowding at breakfast time it didn't seem to intrude on the general peace of the hotel. The swimming pool is one of the best I have used in Asia and is a great place to unwind after work, be aware that the pool bar prices are VERY expensive by Asian standards but the measures are generous.
If you use this hotel always ask for a room overlooking the pool as the exterior rooms face the street with its constant traffic noise.”

“Luxury Hotel that I couldn't fault. About 13 stories high affording panoramic views. Breakfast was excellent with a wide range. The hotel is a fair bit out of the way however a shuttle bus was available but sometimes was fully booked. It is possible to walk to the market and palace etc and a very interesting walk of approx 1hr. Not much in the way of outside restaurants in the vicinity with engish a problem. We managed to order food and drink and had the best night of our trip at one of them. So don't be put off if your english is hard for them to understand.”

“We stayed here in September 2007. Hotel room, which overlooked the pool and city, was very clean and comfortable. Hotel lived upto its 5 star rating. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, especially as we had some trouble on arrival with our onward journey/lack of details from our agent in London. They couldnt be more helpful in sorting our our problems. Buffet was fantastic, best we've had. The new fish restaurant looked nice but lacked bit of atmosphere as it was on the 2nd floor, the bar area of restaurant was very nice, but again really lacked atmosphere/people. We were athe only ones sitting there for pre meal drinks! Hotel could do with a bar in the lobby area, which we understand they did have but have closed due to the new one and restuarant on the 2nd floor. However, as this is the hub of hotel would be nice to have bar here to watch the world going by! The main restaurant was very good, breakfast superb, so much choice both western and asian cuisine. Would definitely return and stay here again.”
