..."I booked in here after staying 2 weeks in budget accommodation. I ended up paying $55 a night. The main clientele of this hotel were appeared to be businessmen rather than tourists who seemed to dictate the feel of the place. Positives - breakfast buffet that you couldn’t fault (had best pho every day) - generous and comfortable rooms with in room safe, fridge, TV and good generous sized beds with separate lounge/ sofa. Staff were extremely helpful from reception to doormen even with language barriers I sometimes encountered.( no criticism of staff - I only speak one language, they obviously deal with more than one so more credit to them). Very close to the Ben Thanh market (? spelling) and walking distance into city centre and backpackers areas. Negatives- because of mostly businessman clientele, there wasn’t the friendly atmosphere I have encountered at budget accommodation elsewhere in Vietnam where other travelers tend to chat over breakfast and trade experiences and stories. This was a personal opinion, which I appreciate would not necessarily be shared by other travelers at this hotel .There was no pool. Stay here because you want a little luxury and spoiling."

“Stayed in Liberty 2 in early Sept 2007. The hotel represent good value for money mainly for its location: very close distance to the Market. In fact u can see the Ben thanh market from your room. Room wise its big and confortable, toilet fully tiled but a bit worn out, Ok for 3 star standard. Room is spacious with tea/coffee making facilities and in room safe. We find the room a bit dim if u want to read at the bed side. Noise level is bad, the small construction site opposite the hotel works 24 hours non stop. Reception is helpful, they try very hard to help. As confirmed by other writer, there is a very bad smell in the common area leading to the lift lobby on ground floor and the lift is very slow, we sometimes just walk down from 7th floor. Breakfast is good and the view from the 10th floor in the morning is very pleasant sight to start a day."

“I stayed 3 nights at the Liberty 2 Hotel on an 8th floor corner room. The room was spacious, clean and with a balcony with a good view of the city. Free Wi-Fi internet access was available in the room.Located in the heart of District 1 the hotel is only a 5-minute walk to Ben Thanh market and a 15-minute walk to the Saigon River and main shopping and restaurant areas.Overall I had a comfortable stay and the staff were friendly and helpful."
