“We stayed here for 4 nights during a 3 week trip through SE Asia. We actually stayed for a few nights, then checked out (leaving our luggage with the hotel) and went on a side trip and came back for our final night in HCMC. We really liked this hotel- the location is perfect for touring the city. The service was great. The rooms were nice, clean and comfortable. Our only drawback was that it was quite loud- we stayed on two different floors and found that the tile floors in the hotel halls and rooms made for a lot of echos and noise. Otherwise we really enjoyed the hotel and found it to be a great value when touring southern Vietnam.”

"We stayed for 3 nights in a riverview room mid Feb 2009 and extremely happy with our Hotel choice. Only opened for a few months it has that fresh feel to it and is on a quieter street yet minutes from everything. Our room was spacious and comfortable with luxury fittings (even had a bath with headrest) (more like a 5*** in Aus standards). We paid US $95 p.n including taxes and considering peak season was a very good rate.The breakfast was enjoyable in a nice setting and staff very helpful. We did not miss not having a pool and the Hotel was very quiet. The best part is the Legend bar on the 12th floor with fantastic views of the river. We had it to ourselves and were able to eat there as well. You could not find a better place with a view to eat. We also stayed at the Sofitel Plaza but the Northern Hotel is my choice and cannot be beaten for value."
